Mangaluru, Oct 31: A cow has been reported stolen from the house of Bajrang Dal activist at Iruvail near Moodbidri.
As per the compliant registered at Moodbidri police station, Bharat Kumar Shetty, taluk co-convenor of Bajrang Dal, has lost the Jersey cow worth Rs 35,000 from his house.
Bharat says that his father had last seen the cow at the shed next to the house on Friday early morning at around 3 am. But later in the morning, the cow was not to be seen.
BJP district secretary Sudarshan M has expressed shock over the incident. “There are repeated attempts in Moodbidri to disrupt peace through cow thefts. Police should take necessary action against this menace. Otherwise they are responsible for the consequences which result due to cow thefts” he said.
