Mangaluru: MLA Lobo hands over Rs 10 lac to Suryanarayana temple

Mangaluru, Oct 31: Mangaluru South MLA J R Lobo handed over the document of Rs 10 lacs which was sanctioned by the government to the historical Suryanarayana temple here at temple office on Monday October 31.

Speaking on occasion, Lobo said, “The essence of all religion is one. Earlier this was a small temple, but with the efforts of people of this region, the temple has grown to this extent. The people of this region have shown that if we are united, we can achieve anything. I appreciate the efforts of temple committee members.”

“The temple is gaining popularity, and the number of visitors has increased. Thus recognising the need for connectivity, the roads are broadened and the basic infrastructure is being developed,” he said.

The Suryanarayana temple committee members honoured J R Lobo on this occasion for getting sanctioned Rs 10 lacs from the government.

Local corporator, Keshav Maroli, corporators Bhaskar K, temple committee members, Balakrishna Kottari, Giridar Shetty and others were present.
