3 of SIMI men killed in Bhopal were hiding in Dharwad

Dharwad, Nov 1 (DHNS): Of the eight SIMI activists who were gunned down in an encounter in Bhopal on Monday, three are suspected to have had links with Dharwad.

They had stayed in a rented house here for five months in 2014, claiming to be cloth merchants, it is said. On seeing the photographs of the eight SIMI activists who were killed in the encounter, Shivaji Kulkarni, the owner of the house in Arogya Nagar (near Tejaswi Nagar), identified two persons - Mehboob Guddu and Zakir Hussain Sadiq. He could not, however, identify the third person. Panchappa Bidarakatti, who runs a paan shop, said the duo used to buy cigarettes from his shop.

The three youths had given their names as Santosh, Kishan and Aravind, said Kulkarni. Kulkarni was shocked when the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) officials from Mumbai and Chennai visited Dharwad on November 21 last year and searched the house. The trio had vacated the house by then.

The ATS officials had also collected some information pertaining to the bomb blast in Chennai. The team had inspected the Internet centres and STD phone call centres which were visited by the three youths.

Sources said the youths used to make international calls and send e-mails to various destinations. Based on the IP addresess of the computers from where the e-mails were sent, the ATS officials had visited the cyber cafe for more details.

The team had come to the city based on the information given by three youths, all natives of Uttar Pradesh, who were staying in Dharwad earlier and were arrested by the ATS in Hyderabad. Sources said the SIMI activists used to remain indoors and ventured out to the cyber cafe and the STD booth late in the night. A group from Hyderabad used to frequent their house.

Monday’s developments have created concern among the citizens of Dharwad about the fact that terrorist organisations are finding the city a safe hideout.

Majority of the people in India want 'encounter' should be made the law.

Hence without any religious bias even 'Saffron terror','Naxals',ULFA','NAGA' etc should see the same fate of bullets.

They killed a policeman. They were not in jail dresses when shot, they were wearing jeans, tshirts, shoes & even wrist watches as observed in the photos in WhatsApp. Who gave them those things, those who supported them might have been in possession of weapons also. Why should police risk their lives in catching them alive? According to me once they killed a policeman while escaping is enough to eliminate them.

Are they convicted ....there is not even a proof ....how come some section of media claim they are terrorists what even court can't do...
....If a suspect has a particular name he is guilty until acquitted...If others are suspect they are innocent until convicted(sometimes they can continue being innocent even after being convicted like Maya kodnani and babu bajarangi who are out on bail )
Some people here come with weird justification claiming speaking against killing of undertrails is antinational...This is the same old patriot parivars noise to hide their blunder...they take refugee under patriotism for their heinous crime...But saying so you can't hide scripted murder by Shivaraj ...Shivraj should learn more from Daku and Feku team how to execute a fake encounter and how to create a a masala story over it..not some "chamcha-chaadar" armed escape story.. seems like shivraj failed in it and endedup creating a clumsy story which even his followers know it is fake.. ...But justify the killings of suspects because they belong to particular community...

Either Its a fake encounter or reall one its good that happened, its is good for india. Indian law is ment for human beings not for terrorists unless untill there is drastic change in law it is not possible to punish these terrorists. Even if you give them proper access to the law, the jehadi funding from external source will appoint lawyers like kapil sibal( congi, great zero loss inventor) who will manipulate the law and ensure that these guys are released. we should stop vote bank politics on terrorism and zero tolerance to be maintained, which is good for our nation. This is not minority/mejority issue, terrorism is threat to humanity, we should oppose this without any bias

In whose tenure Parliament was attacked?
Leave aside other things, Is border clashes, infiltration abated in Modi's regime as promised by him during election speeches?
Listen to PM Modi & Ramdev's election speeches in YOUTUBE. Rewinding their own speeches is more than enough to defeat him in elections. Nitish & Kejriwal have done the same.
Don't bring politics in the matter of national security or acts of terrorism.
