Kasargod, Nov 1: Badiyadka police succeeded in arresting the main agent who used to supply Paan Masala and other products that are banned in Kerala to various spots in the district, on Sunday, October 30. The arrested accused happens to be Abdulla Kunhi (57) residing in a rented house at Ukkinadka near Badiyadka.

The police found 10,360 sachets of different Paan products during the raid. The raid was conducted on the basis of information got by additional sub-inspector of Badiyadka station, N K Balakrishnan.

It is gathered that Abdulla Kunhi used to bring  Paan Masala and other products in his motor bike from Karnataka for being supplied to shops and other establishments. He had stock of such products in his rented room at Ukkinadka. The police said that they have collected the details of shops dealing in Paan products from the accused and that they will keep a close watch on such shops.

Abdulla and his accomplice had been arrested  about 18 months back for similar offence by Badiyadka police. Policemen believe that a huge team works to transport banned Paan products from Karnataka to Kerala, as these products fetch prices that are many times more than their actual prices in Kerala.
