Kasargod: Hit by motor bike, girl passes away

Kasargod, Nov 1: After a motorbike hit her when she was crossing the road along with her mother, a seven-year-old girl lost her life. The accident occurred at Payal Nelliyadka in the district on the night of Sunday, October 30.

The victim, Anjana (7), was a resident of Nelliyadka Colony. She was the daughter of Venugopal, a  local currently employed abroad.

The girl had accompanied her mother Suneeta, who had planned a visit to the house of her sister. Suneeta had reached the destination along with Anjana in an auto rickshaw and both were crossing the road when tragedy struck in the form of a motorbike. The girl, who sustained grievous injuries in the accident, was provided preliminary  treatment at the government general hospital here. She was being taken to a hospital at Mangaluru when the girl passed away during the journey.

The deceased was a first standard student of the government lower primary school at Nelliyadka.
