Udupi: Ill health, unemployment drive youth to end life

Udupi, Nov 2: A youngster, who was going through hard times on health front and was unable to get a good job, ended his life by hanging himself on Monday October 31 night. He has been identified as Prakash (26), son of Jogi Salian, resident of Das Kripa in Sai Complex, Udyavar Pitrody here.

Prakash was earlier working for Big Bazaar in the city.  He left his job there and did some other jobs for short periods. It is said that recurring backaches had  made it impossible for him to work properly.

Prakash was living with his elder brother, elder sister, and mother. On Monday night, he scaled the terrace of the residential complex in which he was living, and hanged himself with the help of a nylon rope. On the basis of a report filed by the elder brother of the deceased, Ganesh, a case of unnatural death was registered in Kaup police station.
