Ajman: Thumbay Group, Satguru Travel liase to launch representative offices

Ajman, Nov 2: Thumbay Group, the largest network of academic hospitals, state-of-the-art clinics and labs across the country, signed an agreement with Satguru Travel and Tourism on Monday October 31. The tie-up aims to help establish representative offices in 50 locations across the globe. It also aims to promote Thumbay Group’s healthcare and education infrastructure and brand the country as an overall quality care travel destination and education centre.

The agreement was signed between Thumbay Moideen, founder and president of Thumbay Group, and Anil Chandirani, chief executive officer, Satguru Travels in the presence of Akbar Moideen, vice president healthcare division, Thumbay Group and other senior officials, at Thumbay group office in UAE.

Speaking about the tie-up, Thumbay Moideen, said: “Dubai’s strong health regulation framework has been a major catalyst in ensuring quality healthcare and thereby promote medical tourism across the region. With new representative offices, we want to highlight latest advances in healthcare and medical education field, discuss and facilitate knowledge, exchange and contribute to the overall vision, mission and goals of the UAE health authorities.”

The joint collaboration aims to empower Thumbay Group’s medical tourism across the group’s large network of hospitals in UAE and India, while also facilitating student recruitment in Gulf Medical’s education programmes and other upcoming universities.

Last month, Thumbay Medical Tourism (TMT) department celebrated World Tourism Day by welcoming its 6,000th medical tourist at Thumbay Hopsital, Ajman. TMT, currently, has offices in six different countries and is looking to open in 20 different nations. TMT is looking to partner with interested parties to expand its network and is inviting proposals for the same.

TMT focuses on promoting Thumbay Group’s ultra-modern healthcare services to the growing number of international patients visiting the UAE, at affordable costs. TMT provides a host of travel and medical services to medical tourists from all over the world, and also arranges on-demand translator services, accommodation services, customized treatment packages, preferred cuisine, travel arrangements, priority appointments, airport pick up and drop off, etc.
