Moodbidri: Former block Congress president, Meghnath Shetty, expelled from party

Moodbidri, Nov 3: Former president of local block Congress, Meghnath Shetty, stands expelled from the party for anti-party activities. Dakshina Kannada district Congress president, B Ramanath Rai, has expelled Shetty from the party for a period of six years.

Local MLA, Abhay Chandra Jain, had recommended for expelling Shetty from the party because of his continuous association with anti-party activities in spite of repeated warnings against doing so.

Ad hoc president of district Congress, Kodijal Ibrahim, said that Shetty stands expelled from primary membership of the party as per the recommendation of Jain.
