Thank God, many were saved from a tragic fate!

Hope the RTO takes steps to enforce traffic/drunken driving rules very strictly. Peoples' lives just cannot be risked at the hands of drunken drivers.

If liquor is consumed at the right time and the right place then it has his own value. A whisky which has a name AFTER DARK has been named wisely to be consumed only in the night and that too after evening prayers for a healthy 8 hours of good sleep and good digestion.

And still instead of banning Liquor as a uniform law in our country for benefitt of all communities, few people and political parties are more intrested in changing whats being practiced in the different faiths.

    Really shame on such people.

Nowadays every 25-30 Km you will find one toll gate. There should be an alcohol test gate, where all public vehicle drivers are tested.

It is a long journey driving boring job. IF you put you in his place you will understand how boring to drive 12 hours day and night. Stop criticizing someone without knowing their life journey and work pain. Most of us has a phone to put comments for each and every damn things when we get bored to criticize others

It must be a common practice since some time and we the public had to bear these. Today fortunately he hit these vehicles, especially the police vehicle and now caught. If not, it would have been another day for him putting all the passenger lives in risk. Very unfortunate to live in such a society where no value for life. Really.

Buses to Mumbai from coastal district usually start's around noon time. Not sure if the bus was loaded full but this driver definitely loaded full from the starting point itself. Just imagine how much he would get drunk after the dinner may be from Honnavar or Kumta if he had continued journey and for sure the bus would not have crossed Karnataka border in this state. I guess god saved the day for the occupants' of the bus with a minor incident and averted a major disaster that could have happend late at night in some remote place.

Let these bus owners keep a alcohol test equipment in the bus so that passengers can test the driver if in doubt.

Look at his face and appearance. He was drunk in morning at the starting point.

May be a major calamity is averted if at all the bus was in Ghat section.
