Nanjangud: Gas cylinder leakage - four injured lose lives

Nanjangud, Nov 4: Four persons, Basayya (40), Tulasimani (35), Gowri (27) and Manikanta (40) from a single family who had suffered grave burn injuries due to gas leakage from a cylinder and got admitted  into K R Hospital Mysuru, have lost their lives.

On October 29, family of Kanikanta who sells Panipuri at Nedara Block in Chamalapura street in Nanjangud , had forgotten to switch of gas cylinder when going out of his rented house with family. When the family returned home, gas had covered the entire house. When they entered the home, the fire had engulfed the cylinder. When neighbours opened windows to allow the gas to pass, fire from crackers bursting outside spread to the house and all the family members suffered severe burn injuries.

House owner, Mugugesh, his wife, Tulasirani, and neighbours, Basayya and Gowri had also suffered burn injuries in this accident, policemen said.
