Al Khobar, Nov 4: SSQ KPL Season-2 was one of the biggest cricket events in Saudi Arabia organized by Sab Sports Academy under the leadership of Sadhiq Kaup assisted by Mohd Iqbal and
Fayaz Mohd with the support and guidance of Salahuddin Salman, chairman of SAB.
The event was inaugurated by CEO of SSQ, Muhammed Hussain on Thursday October 27. 16 teams from KSA (Yanbu, Riyadh, Al Khobar and Jubail) and a team from Qatar participated.
At a colorful closing ceremony, ATL Samcon was awarded a shining KPL trophy with a cash prize of INR 6,00,000 and Al Aithan team bagged the runner up position with a cash prize of INR 2,50,000 and KPL runner trophy. The two semi finalists namely Sab Warriors and Amaco were awarded a trophy and cash of INR 75,000 each. Individual performers of the tournament were awarded as follows:
Man of the match was awarded to Adil of ATL Samcon
Salahuddin Salman from Sab Warriors was crowned man of the series with a Pulsar motor bike
Raees from Al Aithan bagged best batsman of the tournament
Sampath of Al Aithan was awarded best bowler of the tournament
Special award for most disciplined team went to Amaco Jubail for their valuable co-operation throughout the tournament.
MLA Moideen Bawa appreciated the organizers and sponsors for conducting this excellent tournament to promote cricket among overseas youth.

Mansoor M H welcomed all the guests who graced the programme. Samad Jubail and Mansoor added more life to the match by their commentary. Sadhiq Kaup proposed the vote of thanks.
