Mangaluru: Poojary offers prayers for Hillary Clinton's victory in US elections

Mangaluru, Nov 6: Former union minister and veteran Congress leader Janardhan Poojary offered prayers in Kudroli temple on Sunday, November 6 for the victory of United States presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

"If Hillary Clinton wins, good things will happen not only to the United States, but for the whole world including India. Being a women and mother, she has the capability to be the president of the United States." Poojary said after prayers.

"A year ago when the presidential campaign began in America, Hillary had lesser popularity. As per today's statistics her popularity has increased to 46% while her opponent Donald Trump is behind at 43%." Poojary added.

"If Trump wins the whole world is in danger. Even the Hydrogen bomb may be used. He is a person of nuisance and does not listen to anybody. Even our country will be in danger. Hence he must be defeated and many countries are praying for the same. So the whole world is waiting for the November 9 elections and the results." Poojary explained.

"Since our country is in danger, every citizen of this country has the responsibility of praying for the victory of Hillary Clinton in their respective worshipping places. So I request every citizen to do so and I have already offered my prayers," Poojary said.

When asked if Hillary could be a bad administrator, Poojary said "Every person is known by his or her past and looking at Hillary's past, she is person of values and it is evident in her talk. The world wants her to be the president of the United States."

When asked about the reports that Clinton is favouring Pakistan in her foreign policy, he said "Hillary has studied India and Trump has not. Hillary has a very good opinion about India. She will not favour Pakistan."

"Indian journalist Rajdeep Sardesai visited the colleges of the United States. It was clear to him that the youth want Hillary as the president. The votes Trump receive are because he is from Republican Party." Poojary said.

Poojary also said that he offered special prayers for the well being of the state, country and the world.

    America is a very generous country. It has helped all most all countries on earth particularly poor countries like India. Before the green revolution of Indira Gandhi in Punjab and the land reform act of 1976 India was so poor, We the Indians survived from hand out from America. Almost every day American ships were unloading millions of tons of grain, Milk powder & Soybean oil at Indian ports/Docks. All mid day meals in our school was made out from American hand out. With out American generous help we the Indian would have dead. So What Poojary doing is right thing. We have nothing to give back to America in return So We all have to pray to Lord Krishna to protect America and contentiously pray for America to be Blessed. God Bless America.

    Hillary Clinton worked as Lawyer to poor, orphan children, Women's cause. Has experience to work with others, her party is the party belong to poor Americans, Majority of her supporters are poor, Immigrants from poor countries, American Civil rights are signed by her party. As women from middle class family, mother & grand mother She will understand the worlds supering poor better. Donald Trump can't do much to control terrorist and terrorist backed religious groups with out the cooperation of US Congress and other National leaders. Trump is for himself and for few rich manipulative Business person. We the Indians are ungrateful for the charitable hand out from America. America helped us with it's International aid, Peace corp, Habitat for humanity and funding to our many NGO to help our needy people. Our Government & rich people are not reachable to poor. So We have to pray for the Democratic party & American people Who are best in the world. Always say God Bless America because it is written " In God We Trust" in American Donations and money.

    Krishna, I am one of the beneficiaries of American hand out to India during 1960's. My mother used the grind the corn or wheat handed out and make roti for the breakfast. I know many have died by starvation but not reported. One mura of rice used to cost Rs.100 which was equal to one month's salary of average worker. It is equivalent to paying Rs.500 per Kg of rice today. Except America, no other countries, even Briton which robbed India, helped us during those days.

    American election is very important to the world because many poor countries still depending on USA and her hand out.

    Historically, India had good relations with the Republican dispensation compared to the democrats. Regardless, all the noise and the description that Trump is a bully once he or Clinton enters the White house like we have witnessed in the past. They tend to mellow down and it is their bureaucrats who take the policy forward. Do not expect them to lean on Pakistan or put pressure on them. They will however, if and only if, their national interests require them to do so. On the lighter side, Poorjary seems to have given up on Siddu and Modi and is directly having hope on the US president. Will we witness press conferences to condemn, lecture or even congratulate whenever US president does something?
