Kasargod: Magistrate accused of vandalism ends life by hanging

Kasargod, Nov 9: A Kasargod magistrate who was recently accused of vandalism and assaulting police personnel and rickshaw driver, ended his life by hanging here on Wednesday, November 9.

V K Unnikrishnan (46) is the person deceased. He is survived by wife and two children.

Unnikrishnan was found hanging at his residence in Vidyanagar at 10 am today morning. Originally from Thrissur, he had come as Magistrate here on August 23.

On November 6, he was booked for assaulting police personnel and a rickshaw driver in Sullia police station. Later Kerala High Court had sought explanation on the alleged behaviour of the magistrate.
