Raichur, Nov 9: A girl student of Navodaya Engineering College in the city committed suicide in the bathroom of her hostel room on Tuesday November 8. The student, identified as Shraddha (22), second-semester student of the college, hanged herself.
Shradhdha was from Narasapur village of Gangavati taluk, Koppal district. In a death note left behind, she said she was frustrated with her life on account of health complications. Her classmates said they had observed since some days that the student was going through depression.
Her body was dispatched to Raichur Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital for postmortem. A case about this unnatural death was registered in the police station at Netaji Nagar here. Policemen have begun to investigate the incident.
