Qatar: Tulu Koota to organize annual blood donation camp on Nov 11

Qatar, Nov 9: Tulu Koota will be organizing their annual blood donation campaign on Friday November 11 from 8.00 am to 11.00 am at Hamad Medical Corporation, Blood Donor Unit, Blood Bank, Gate No-3.

Members/well-wishers, who are willing to participate in this noble cause, may kindly enrol their names with any of the following managing/special needs/full committee members:

Some informative tips to the blood donors are as follows:
At each blood donation, only 430 ml of blood is drawn, about 10% of our blood volume which will be replaced in 72 hours
Donating blood will not harm or affect our strength
Just one pint of donated blood can help save as many as three people's lives
One unit of blood is roughly the equivalent of one pint
Anyone who is in good health, is at least 16 years old, may donate blood every 56 days

Note : Further, Tulu Koota will also organize a brief lecture on the advantages of blood donation by Dr Sushanth Shetty, consultant- dermatology and medical director - Premium Naseem Al Rabeeh Medical Center, here.

For the past several years the organization has been able to donate record units of blood, because of the support and co-operation of all. They are certain that this year too many will join this blood donation campaign along with family members/friends and well-wishers and make it an even bigger success.
