Bantwal,  Nov 10: A girl student of a college has gone missing from her home at Pilinguli in Kanyana village. A missing complaint in this connection was lodged in Vittal police station.

Ganyashree (21), daughter of Sridhar Shetty from Pilinguli in Kanyana village went missing all of a sudden. She happens to be a student of a private college at Puttur. Since the last some days, she was staying with her relatives. She had visited her home 15 days back. The family had decided to perform her marriage, and were making preparations for the same.

Mother of the student, Shashiprabha, in her complaint to the police, expressed suspicion that her daughter might have been accompanied by one of her classmates. Assistant superintendent of police from here, Raveesh C R, and circle inspector, Manjaiah, visited the house of the complainant, and began investigation. Leaders of some organisations visited the police station and pleaded with the police officers to investigate the case on priority basis so that the issue is sorted out and settled without any negative ramifications.
