Thumbay Hospital signs ambulance service MOU with Dubai Corporation

Dubai, Nov 10: Thumbay Hospital, the largest network of private academic hospitals in the region owned by Thumbay Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services (DCAS), for cooperation in delivering excellent services and to ensure better health and safety for community members in the city.

The MoU was signed by Akbar Moideen Thumbay, vice president of the healthcare division of Thumbay group and Khalifa Hassan Aldrai, executive director of DCAS, on Wednesday November 9.

According to the MoU, all Thumbay Hospitals will offer complete assistance to the ambulance personnel of DCAS, to ensure that patients get the best possible treatment. The MoU also enables Thumbay Hospitals and DCAS to share medical equipment, medicines and expertise. The two sides will also be collaborating for conducting exhibitions, conferences and awareness programmes.

Akbar Moideen Thumbay said that the cooperation between Thumbay Hospitals and DCAS would simplify the receiving and shifting of critical patients. “This would also ensure timely and effective treatment to the patients,” he added.

Thumbay Group’s healthcare division:
Thumbay Group’s healthcare division presently operates four academic hospitals in the UAE (Dubai, Ajman, Fujairah and Sharjah) and one in Hyderabad – India, as well as a network of state-of-the-art family clinics at various locations in the UAE, making it the largest network of private academic hospitals in the region.
