Tumakuru, Nov 12: In the wee hours of Friday November 11, a BJP activist was found murdered at the foot of Revanasiddeshwara Hill near H Muddenahalli Tanda near Tiptur in the district. This murder has come as a surprise as no one is able to make even a wild guess as to why the person concerned, Tippesh (35) from Magenahalli was killed.

Tippesh had attended the marriage of a relative at Revanasiddeshwara Hill on Thursday night. He was found done to death by miscreants who stopped him and dropped a boulder on his head. It is said that Tippesh was returning home after the marriage and reception when he met his death.

On the face of it, no personal reasons could be attributed to this murder. In political circles too, Tippesh did not have rivalry with anyone, sources said.

After finding Tippesh's body on Friday morning, Honnavalli police visited the spot and undertook investigation. Sniffer dogs and finger print experts also visited the area and gathered details. Policemen are trying to find out the murderers. Deputy superintendent of police, Venugopal, and circle inspector, Ramesh, visited the spot.

Former MLA, B C Nagesh, termed Tippesh as a good-mannered BJP activist. He said that law and order system in the taluk has collapsed and blamed police for failing to put together evidences and clues about the murder even after a day of finding the body.
