Mangaluru, Nov 15: As a mark of protest against an incident in which a boy was stabbed at Kairangala Lekkisiri on Monday November 14, shops and establishments at Manjanady and Mongugoli areas have been closed today. The protesters have been demanding for the immediate arrest of the culprits.

City and service buses moving through the area stopped operations as groups of protesters which moved around the area advised them against plying. Stones were also placed across the roads to stop vehicular movement.

In another incident that followed the sequence of events happening in the locality with alarming regularity since the last some days, stones were pelted at Rahmania mosque at Ullal late night on Monday November 14. Windowpane of this mosque was shattered as a result.

Police presence in the areas which witnessed these incidents has been intensified. However, people are worried about the repeated incidents which do not allow the tension to die down.

In the past Church attacks, now mosque for political benefits.

The BJP and the Sangh family are working on their master strategy for polarising Hindu votes while keeping the focus on development and caste issues.

It is known that BJP, by adopting Amit Shah’s strategy, is aiming to create a strong counter polarisation just like it had done in the Assam elections. Shah elaborated his strategy in one of his statements that 'every polarisation produces counter polarisation and BJP will benefit from it'. Their strategy proved to be a success in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and the recently held Assam elections but due to the conscious and active efforts of the grand alliance in Bihar, their strategy failed there.

As Karnataka assembly elections are due for 2018 polarisation will continue in the coming days in various forms.

If Mangalorean are smart enough they will choose wise candidate this time which they failed since last two decades.

Please remember what the SP of Mangalore said yesterday

"People of Dakshina Kannada district are very intelligent and educationally and culturally gifted. They are clever enough to think properly before acting. Still, it is tragic that communal clashes keep happening here," wondered aloud Dakshina Kannada district superintendent of police (SP), Bhushan Gulabrao Borase.

All these cases are happening because Mangalore people are intelligent and highly educated and they have educated lawyers businessman, etc etc guiding them.

I always wonder why such intelligent people are not there in Hubli ,Banglaore,Gulbarga, bidar, belgaum and other districts of karnataka. Are they only resticted to Mangalore & Udipi. I feel more the people get educated ,they become more intelligent or so. Why Mangalore people do not show same behaviour when they are in Middle East, Europe,USA .Are they become dull when they reach there. Better to be out of Mangalore or Udipi and move to other places which has less intelligent people or people become less intelligent. We require better human beings than intelligent people. Period!.

Give free hand to POLICE DEPT to handle the situation and law and order must be maintained at any cost in our dist.

I feel honestly LAW AND ORDER track record under khangress rule is not at all satisfactory level...

Govt must act firmly according to the law without considering the vote bank politics.

    Very sad news.

What this people gaining from stone pelting?

I can't understand the following, what this Police on duty doing, when people pelting stones?

"Police presence in the areas which witnessed these incidents has been intensified."

Please be a human and stop all this unnecessary activities and allow locals to live peacefully & unitedly.

During our college time we used to attend URUS celebration in Ullal & enjoy the function unitedly with the great hospitality by our Muslim brothers.

Now a days present generation simply destroying the unity among the peoples.

All these incidents have nothing to do with religion or it's people. This is done by involvement of some politicians as well as trouble mongers who like to create trouble always. Find out those people and stone them from top to bottom in full public view.
