Mangaluru: Kids participate enthusiastically in Mangalore Meri Jaan contest

Mangaluru, Nov 16: Mangalore Meri Jaan enthralled Mangalureans yet again with its most promising event Little Prince and Princess to mark Children's Day with glitz and glamour.

The two-day event had contestants from across Mangaluru and all put up a great show. Around 130 contestants participated which was divided into two sections of age group 4 - 8 years and 8 - 12 years.

A separate photo competition was held for children of 0 - 4 yrs of which 1300 plus contestants participated.

Avyukt R.Rai - emerged as Cutest Kid 2016 while Abhiroop Kashyap was 1st Runner Up, Amogh was 2nd Runner Up, Mulky Anvitha Kamat was declared Charming Kid and Nakshathra.N.Devadiga was the Cutest Smile winner.

The show stopper was Gagan Gaonkar Winner of Sa re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs’ 2015 who amazed the crowd with his melodious voice.

The event was judged by Suma R Nayak - Advocate by Profession and founder of ACT Mangaluru, Gauri Suhas Rao Founder member of Bimba Charitable Trust and resource person for Hakuna Matata Club House, Renowned Konkani poet Melvyn Rodrigues, Deeksha Bhaktha, ace photo journalist Dayananda Kukkaje and Dr Reena Sherin Parveen - Clinical Pharmacologist in Ecron Acunova Manipal in various categories.

The show was hosted by RJ Anurag. The title sponsor for the event was Vibrant Chevrolet, Kuloor Mangaluru, Summer Sands Beach Resorts was associate partner. City Centre Mall Mangalore, World Of Titans were Gift Partners, Web Partner was Daijiworld, TV Partner was Namma TV and Photography Partner was Beniths Photography.

Narayan, retired sub-inspecter, Rachan Raj from City Centre, Waseem Shaan founder of Mangalore Meri Jaan, Aaron from Summer Sands Beach Resorts Dr Bhaskar from Giving Tree Trust were present during the prize distribution ceremony.
