Bengaluru, Nov 18: There are indications that criminal investigation department, to which the controversy relating to minister, Tanveer Sait viewing indecent photograph on cellphone during Tipu Jayanti celebrations was referred to, is preparing to give him a clean chit. It is said that the department has reached the conclusion that minister was not at fault.

The findings of the department, it is said, are that the minister had just scrolled the WhatsApp message forwarded by someone. The photo about which lot of din was raised, was that of the wife of American president, Donald Trump. Her photos had appeared in various websites during the presidnetial election, and the minister also received one such forward, the department has found.

While the party may try to save the minister by claiming that there is no question of the minister's resignation as he was innocent, the opposition parties are likely to renew their demand for his resignation.
