Mangaluru: Pre-Unique fest - 'Dare to Dream' at St Aloysius PU College

Mangaluru, Nov 19: St Aloysius Pre-University College hosted 'Pre-Unique 2016 - Dare to Dream', a 2-day intellectual and cultural fest, a stage set to display the vibrant talents by students of different pre-university and high school students from Friday November 19.

The event was inaugurated with Pre-Unique theme song paraded by the dignitaries, conveners and student coordinators on to the stage. The College choir invoked God's blessings followed by the lighting of the lamp.

The chief guest Soujanya Hegde, administrative head, Namma TV channel and actor expressed her pleasure in being a part of this mega event and said she cherished her memories of being involved in the event in 2001. She encouraged the students to actively participate in the events and give their best.

The president of the function Fr Pradeep Sequeira, in-charge rector, St Aloysius College Institutions in his speech inspired all to realize their potentials and break all the barriers to achieve success.

Principal Fr Melwin Mendonca in his address motivated the students to 'Dare to Dream' and pursue their ambitions.

Ashel D’Silva, Konkani actress and student of Aloysius PU College was felicitated during the programme by the dignitaries for her achievements.

Leslie D'Souza, convener, welcomed the gathering and Kiran Shetty, convener, proposed the vote of thanks.

Also gracing the dias were vice-principal of the College Rekha Alva, finance officer Fr John Lang Bosco, co-conveners Sujith Kumar, Sanjay D’Souza and Vilma Fernandes and the student coordinators.
