Awards are momentary satisfaction: Kajol

Mumbai, Nov 20 (IANS): Actress Kajol, who has bagged a number of awards over the years for her performances in films, says awards are just momentary satisfaction and she has never craved for them.

Kajol was conferred with the country's fourth highest civilian award -- Padma Shri -- in 2011 for her work in the film industry over the years.

"I don't think I crave for awards. I never prayed for an award ever in my life. The feeling of getting an award is the high of standing up in front of whole group of people. Awards are just momentary satisfaction. Five years down the line its a statue on your shelf. Yes, people do remember it up to a point but there is nothing beyond that," Kajol told IANS.

The "Dilwale" actress also feels that film-making has always been a difficult process.

"Film-making has always been difficult. It is about passion and it's not a business decision -- it's a passionate decision. We have always faced issues, problems, all different kinds of things and that will continue," the 42-year-old said.
