Bengaluru: BJP in a fix as Yeddyurappa, Eshwarappa head in opposite directions

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Nov 21: Even as BJP is mustering strength with the joining of some significant leaders of other parties into its fold, and nursing ambitions of coming back to power in Karnataka during the next election, it is facing a critical situation in the form of split between former chief minister, Yeddyurappa, and leader of the opposition in legislative council, K S Eshwarappa.

On Sunday November 20, these two leaders held separate meetings with their loyalists here to chalk out future course. While Yeddyurappa is making preparations for backward castes convention of the party scheduled in the city on December 3, Eshwarappa, who took part in the meeting of Rayanna Brigade conveners, gave final shape to the programme of administering oath to the Brigade conveners at Nandgad, Belagavi district, on December 3. Both the leaders appear to be poised for clash of egos, which might undermine BJP's chances.

These two leaders had, after initial differences, begun to take part in party forums together. This sudden split between them has taken even their close confidantes by surprise. Eshwarappa, who had promised to keep away from Rayanna Brigade, has been associating with the organization's activities in defiance of instruction issued by top leaders of the party. Instead of sacrificing individual aspirations for the sake of their party, these two leaders are apparently furthering their own interests.

Yeddyurappa has instructed the party activists to make the convention being held on December 3 a success. On the other hand, for the meeting of Rayanna Brigade, activists have been asked to bring 20 important activists from each of the 224 assembly constituencies. Some heads of Maths will deliver benedictory addresses there. It is gathered that the leaders will go back, hold local level meetings, and bring together over five lac people at the Brigade's convention being held at Nandgad on January 26.

Some sources say that the Brigade leaders are insistent that BJP has to project a devoted representative from backward castes or Dalit background as the next chief minister if it wants support from Rayanna Brigade. However, it is said that BJP leaders are not giving any favourable response or assurances relating to this demand.

From when you need clean Karnataka state??
For the past several decades Karnataka was ruled by Great Dongi Kai party only and now they are ruling again. Was it not clean that time and now?? In 1992 they gave 3 CM's in 5 years.
All Kai stalwarts are highly corrupt and made huge money for the next 3-4 generation. Take background of few Kai stalwarts- Late Dharam Singh, RV Deshpande, Veerappa Moily, DKS, Anil Lada, Bangarappa, etc. how much they have looted the state.

    Including Yeddy, Reddy, Devegowda family.

BJP is a WRONG party to run Karnataka. All the scandals and scams have tarnished their reputation and their reputation has been shred to bits.

Yeddi was sent to jail for his various scams. Eshwarappa was caught with a cash counting machine in his house.

They failed to achieve anything significant during their tenure from 2006-2008 & 2008-2013?

This party is incompetent, corrupt and communal. SInce 2006-2013 we have witnessed operation Kamala, illegal mining scam, land de-notification scam, resort politics, looting state exchequer, drought mismanagement, communal conflicts, party infighting etc.

They lack a vision, plan and are filled with greedy looters.

You forget to include 2G, 3G, CWC, Coalgate, Chit fund, Railway recruitment scam at center during 2005 to 2014. Also missed to include Mining by DKS brothers, Anil Lad, Late Dharam Singh at state.
Whether it is deliberate or missed??

What vision present state Government is having except providing some Bhagyas, Bringing new Jayanthis. We have witnessed only communal conflicts, party infighting, scam, paper leak out, spreading lies & rumours, drought mismanagement, looting state treasury & building new Kai office, etc.
Whatever Kai Masters do, dumb Kai Sevakas are happy.
    Loot Mar Dongi Kai Party.

If 2G, 3G, CWG, Coalgate etc.is indeed true then why hasn't Modi got Sonia, Rahul and other Congress Leaders arrested ???

It's already 2.5 years and NO ACTION against INC....Are BJP and Modi Spineless???

Eshwarappa's place in BJP is like 12th Man in cricket !! He lost election very badly last time..If he leaves BJP,there is NO place for him except "Rakkasa vesha" in any drama or yakshagana..

Where as Yeddy is a born leader..You may call him corrupt, but he is a very good leader..HE controls everything..Opposition too respect him very much in Assembly..
