Bantwal, Nov 21: Does money fall from trees? No, but sometimes it can from buses, as in this case. Apparently, a black money hoarder thought this was the best way to get rid of the useless cash.

On Sunday November 20, currency notes of Rs 500 and 1,000 denomination were strewn from a bus along the road near Kambalabettu bridge on Vittal-Kabaka road. The notes were thrown from the side of the bus by a passenger seated in the rows of seats behind the driver.

These notes landed on the ground for a stretch of about 100 metres and locals who noticed them gleefully rushed to pick them up. It is said that on an average, people got about four to five thousand rupees each in this way. As per an estimate around Rs 1.5 lac were tossed out of the bus in this incident, although there is no clue who did it.

On getting information about this development, Vittal police rushed to the spot and made inquiries. They found a few boys searching for currency notes near Kambalabettu bridge. The boys confirmed that currency notes were actually thrown and that they were picked up by the passersby. However, by the time police personnel arrived there, currency notes had disappeared from the roadside.

    Demonetizing the Rs.500 and 1000 notes good for all Middle class and Poor class people.. where they can't afford to buy piece of brick today.. they may able buy a 'Whole Brick House' in near future.

    What is black money? It could be money earned through right/genuine way, but NOT PAID TAX to the government. The easiest way to reduce black money to encourage everyone to pay tax. This can be achieved by reducing the TAX RATE. By reducing the TAX RATE, government’s income will NOT REDUCE!
    Money lost through reduction of tax rate will be compensated as each and every individual will pay tax.

    Money is just BLACK when its with ordinary citizens. But, when its with the Ghandis, its LOOT. So, our Mahapurush Modiji, set out on a journey to bring it back. He gave dreams to common people that there is equivalent @15 Lakh per Indian, stashed in Swiss Banks, by the Gandhi family. He promised that he will bring it back within 100 days from BJP coming to power.

    This dream is what brought the Mahapurush to power. Well, his inability to bring in money from the Swiss Banks, whether belongs to Gnadhi family or any other Indian, turned him into a villain over a couple of years.

    To repair the damages, this gimmick of squeezing black money from peoples' cupboards. The measure surely is in the nation's interest but the term isn't as interesting if it was to come from Swiss Banks. Foreign money coming in would have added to nation's foreign currency reserve. What will burning of Indian currency do to India's economy ???

    Upon that, a poor man is a beggar in front of banks until his 500-1000 notes are converted into a new currency ? Who brought this begging bowl in our hands ? WE !!

    Dear Lydia Madam,

    Modhiji is a duly elected PM. By parliament as well as popular vote. he had/has absolute support of his party.
    Getting overseas black money has its own challenges/Legality.
    This is a Master stroke.
    He has few more plans to supplement this action.
    Let us give time for him up to his full term.
    If you are not happy vote him out it is too early to write him off. this guy works almost 20 hours a day. he has a grand plan for India.
    Do you think Sonia and her kinder son as any love for India?

    from now onwards no one will have the daring to hoard big chunk of money at backyard. 2000 bill itself speaks that will remain for 5years max. Imagine the next step that switching from 2000 to 1000 and visa versa on every five years

    By demonetizing the Rs.500 and 1000 notes Govt. cannot completely eradicate black money. Instead of keeping the cash majority of people would have invested in gold and benami real estates etc. Only small percentage of people might have hoarded cash. The sufferers are common poor man.

    Modi(ji)'s demonetisation is a gimmick to compensate his blabbering before 2014 elections about 'saas-daamaad government' 'maa-beta government' and Swiss bank hoarding by the Gnadhis. Modi could not garner anything after paying to Augusta-Westland by freeing Italian marines in exchange news about of Sonia's involvement in the Chopper scam.

    If he still did not do anything about black money (since Swiss bank revelations did not contain Gandhis' name), he feared public uproar hence this cunning step.

    Don't mint the present goodies, wait and watch the slowdown of financial development, shut-down of small industries resulting with joblessness and then you decide what to say.

    I am certainly in favour of black money eradication but the consequences too are of concern to me.

    Mangalore is filled with black money. Difficult to identify who is the culprit. I hope all such dirty money will be exposed, accounted or allowed to rot.(value less) Most of professionals and business houses deal on cash basis and without any acknowledgement for the receipt of money. Especially, medical doctors, lawyers.

    On the contrary, the present step is to wipe out the black money currently existing. This step does not restrict from stocking black money in future.

    Rather, issue of Rs. 2,000 note has become much easier for hoarding the cash because now instead of 100 notes in a Lakh, just 50 required thus making the bundle thinner.

    Getting caught in raids or other means is a later on issue. If people had feared such action, they would have got rid of the black money when the government gave a grace period till September 2016.

    I have been saying the same since first day of this tamasha.

    Modi is equally fearful of losing coming statewide elections in the days ahead due to the black money circulation during election campaign period.

    Very soon, we will be back to zero, thanks to the above, we will see these notes in the sewers all over India.

    At the same time ministers brag to be collected x figure of currency in deposit. Do they mean to say the deposited currency is Black money ? Bulshit ! Its people deposited to convert into new currency, certainly not Black money !

    Lydia no tree can beat fruit over night it takes a long time to bear results and with lot of hardship. Only when we are ready to face inconvenience can our nation change for better. Or nobody will think of changing India. We are lucky that our PM has taken such a huge step. And talking about swiss bank.. INDIA had signed a pact with Swiss to disclose all details of Indians holding account n Swiss bank which will take time.. Atleast a year. So let us wait! Modi will definitely do what he has promised. and I won't be surprised if people criticize that move of Modi too..

    I feel this is a better way of using the demonetised currency than burning it. Poor people will get them converted into new, as if its their own.

    If this practice is legalised, PM Modi in a way is fulfilling his promise to the poor, of bring back the black money and distributing it to the citizens.

    The police should not go after those who tossed the money.
