Dubai, Jan 13: The Bunts association of Dubai celebrated its annual get-together, which was held at the Safa Park in Dubai here on Friday, January 11. On this fun-filled occasion Bunts from different parts of U A E assembled here and participated whole-heartedly in large numbers in a spirit of community and joi de verve. As part of the informal meet, different cultural troupes too had arrived form different parts of U A E and accordingly performed various cultural programmes. These programmes were so interesting and exciting that everyone from young to old took part in it with gusto and a spirit of fanfare. It seemed as if they had left behind the tensions of life and work, atleast for that moment in time.
Siddakatte Channappa Shetty who had arrived there to perform Yakshagana was felicitiated on the occasion. Somayya college professor Dr Sanjeev Shetty's book was also released. Prof Sanjeev Shetty, the trustee of Goregaon Kannada Association, along-with president of the association Saliyan, secretary Lakshmi R Shetty, Cha Parka team manager Karnoor Mohan Rai were all present on the occasion.
