Doha: Ravi Shetty to lead Vishwa Tulu Ayono Qatar committee

Doha, Nov 23: Tulu Koota Qatar president Ravi Shetty has unanimously been elected as the president of World Tulu Ayono-2016 Qatar committee. He was elected at a meeting of the representatives of all the ICC (Indian Cultural Centre) affiliated association of Karnataka, that is, Karnataka Sangha Qatar, Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association, Mangalore Cricket Club, Tulu Koota Qatar, South Kanara Muslim Welfare Association and Bunts Qatar, held at the Asoka Hall of Indian Cultural Centre here recently. Vishwa Tulu Ayono will be held at Badiyadka near Kasargood from December 9 to 13.

There is a reason behind organizing Tulu Ayono in Badiyadka which is close to Kasargod near Karnataka-Kerala border. It has given birth to very many famous personalities who have contributed for Tulu and this place which still boasts of many who admire and love Tulu. This Ayono or conference is open to all irrespective of any caste, creed or religion. This would be a right platform for all Tuluvas to assemble wholeheartedly and showcase the art and culture of our Tulu Nadu. A multi-linguistic meet that includes Tuluvas of various linguistic sects like Tulu, Kannada, Malayalam, Konkani, Marathi, Karhada, Beary, Maapille, Urdu, Kundagannada, Aregannada, Kodava, Havyeka and Maavila will be held for the first time duirng the Ayono. There will be an event each day wherein the Tulu Nadu’s culture, worship, art, folk, games, literature will be at display under one roof for five days. More than 3 lac Tuluvas are expected to gather from around the world and more than Rs 2 crore are estimated to be spent to make this great event successful.
