Kannada Sangha Bahrain to hold Mega event, Ravichandran to grace

Bahrain, Nov 23: Kannada Sangha Bahrain is hosting its mega cultural programme this Friday, November 25 at the Indian club premises.

The BMMI Kannada Vaibhava 2016 will celebrate the Kannada Rajyotsava and the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka state.

Superstar of Kannada film industry, V Ravichandran will be the Chief Guest of the event, while Harikumar, assistant director of the Kannada and Culture Department of Karnataka Government, and Manohar Prasad, Mangaluru bureau chief of ‘Udayavani ‘will be the guests of honour.

A 14-member cultural troupe from Aradhana School of Dance, Bengaluru, will be specially flown in for the programme. The group will present classical, semi-classical and folk dances and ballet during their two-hour programme.

More than 100 Kannada Sangha artists will also present various cultural events, showcasing the many facets of Karnataka’s traditional heritage.

Ravichandran, popularly known as Crazy star, is well-known film actor, director, music director and editor. He made his acting debut in Khadeema Kallaru. After starring in a series of multi-starrers in supporting and lead roles, he cast himself in his directorial debut Premaloka , which became one of the highest grossing blockbuster films in Kannada cinema. As a producer, he continues to run Sri Eswari Productions. He is considered as ‘The Show Man’ of Kannada cinema for his multi-faceted works and has about 100 films to his credit.

“This is a golden opportunity for the Kannada community to enjoy a live cultural programme that showcases the rich heritage of the region,” said Kannada Sangha president Pradeep Shetty.

“Ravichandran is an iconic star and he is visiting Bahrain for the first time. We invite all Kannadigas to come and enjoy the programme and make it a historic success,” said Shetty.

The Title Sponsor for the event is BMMI, while the Platinum Sponsor is Kaleidoscope Enterprises.

More than 1,000 people are expected to attend event. Entrance is free and the programme will begin at 5 pm.

    Long live Kannada Sangha of Bahrain who have decided to hold the Kannada Mega event in Bahrain where they are expected to attract more than 1000 spectators.

    All said and done, the group effort that matters. Group effort crates group leadership and group success and pride. At the end of the day when success is achieved there appear smiles on many faces and the mission is accomplished.

    I like kannada sangha too much...
    Because i started my days with them...Thanks to preivious president Rajkumar Amin.. You supported me from my day one in the club activities.. your smily face encouraged me to participate in club activities.... especially my friends kamal, amin, salmabadh udupi restaurants friendes .. etc..
