Belagavi: Drought woes- Siddaramaiah agrees to offer prayers at Talakaveri

Daijiworld Media Network - Belagavi (RJP)

Belagavi, Nov 24: After a legislator from BJP advised chief minister (CM) Siddaramaiah to visit Talakaveri in Coorg and offer prayers in order to come out from severe drought problems faced in the state, CM agreed for the same.

MLC Sunil Subramani said during the Session on Wednesday November 23, that there is a belief in the state which says that if the chief of the land comes and offers prayers at Talakaveri, all the woes of the land will disappear. “I request the chief minister you to visit Talakaveri on behalf of the people of the state and offer prayers.” he added.

Without taking time, Siddaramaiah agreed and said he would visit Talakaveri soon and offer prayers.

PRAYERS ALONE DO NOT WORK. GOD INDEED WANTS US T0 PLAY OUR ROLES.

Shortage of water is not new. The State has gone through this situation earlier. What roles has any one played to counter the situation. Preservation of forests is very essential. That apart make every attempt to increase plantations and forests. Is anything being done to harvest rain water? THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS ... PRAYERS AND WORK GO TOGETHER.

Dear sir, Diplomacy, statesmanship, leadership acumen, admin capabilities etc is the need of the hour. Lean from Jayalalita, how she got got Cauvery issue resolve for her state. You wasted time on appeasement, Jayanthis, favoritism & nepotism. Your Cong veteran 'politician' Janardhana Baazigar Poojari performed Urulu seve for the cauvery verdict, special prayers for Clintons victory, result? You know it!

    Dear friend Zeitgeist,
I have to admit that you are one logical and rational person among the 100's who comment on this forum.
Even I find it appalling and hard to digest that State institutions talk about prayers as solution for drought.

if prayer is proper then of course it will be answered .. 99.999999% of our prayers are destructive or to harm nature.

Sidda lost a golden chance to come out from drought situation. When he visited Mangalore recently he didnt visit Kudroli temple where our Jannanna was waiting for him. Instead, he visited Ivans house. Jannanna later said that had CM visited his Kudroli temple he would have prayed for the welfare of the State. . .
