Mangaluru, Nov 24: ‘Istageeth’, Konkani music album produced by Lawrence D’Souza Palimar had created history in Konkani when it was released on mobile app for free. Now the music album is not lagging behind even in CD version with being released all around the world.
After the initial success and demand for ‘Istageeth’, it has now been released in Dubai, Saudi Arabia and Israel. The album is expected to be released in other Gulf countries and Europe, US and Canada very soon.
When the producer and singer Lawrence D’Souza decided to release ‘Istageeth ‘on Android Mobile App for free on September 17 in Palimar, mobile-friendly Konkani music lovers downloaded the app from Google store within no time. So far about 5,000 downloads have been made and over one lac visits have been registered for the app. This shows the tremendous success in releasing the album on mobile app. Apart from app, traditional music lovers also preferred album on CDs and over 2,000 CDs have been sold out in India and abroad.
Little Flowers Mukamar released the album during its 6th anniversary in Dubai. It was released during Gulf Voice of Mangalore semi-finals in Saudi Arabia,. The album was released during a Konkani event in Israel recently.

Wilson Kateel, Jocy Siddakatte (Fr Joseph Cyril OCD), Roshan Cordeiro and Rickson Fernandes have penned songs in the album. Roshan Cordeiro is the music director.
Rhythm programming has been done by Rajesh, a well known music director. Violin by Dr Amith, flute-by Lokesh, bass guitar by Ashith Pinto, saxophone by Johnson Nikhil Salins have enhanced the music in the album.
Recording, mixing and mastering have been done by Ashith Pinto and Srinivas at Daijiworld Audio Visual studio in Mangaluru.
