Fujairah: Gretta Dias elected president of Canara Catholics

Fujairah, Nov 26: Gretta Dias was unanimously elected president of Canara Catholics Fujairah (CCF) during its general body meeting held recently. CCF, the association of Mangalureans in Fujairah is vibrant in all the parish activities; spiritual as well social.

Gretta Dias who has served CCF in the past as general secretary is the first lady president of the association since its inception eleven years ago. In her address, Gretta thanked all the members for giving her the responsibility and promised to continue the good work with everyone’s support.

Also elected are Prakash Rodrigues as chief coordinator, Roy Veighas as treasurer and Ovina Saldhana as general secretary.

Fr Sagayraj, parish priest of Fujairah Church congratulated the new office-bearers and thanked the Mangalurean community for their dedicated service to the Church.

Family day out: The members of CCF with their family and friends enjoyed a family day out at the Al Madabh Park in Fujairah on November 9.

The event was filled with fun, music, dance, games and delicious food.

After thanking the good Lord, the attendees participated in various games with a lot of enthusiasm.
