Demonetisation forced us to postpone 'Dhruva': Producer

Chennai, Nov 27 (IANS): The release of Ram Charan's forthcoming Telugu actioner "Dhruva" had to be pushed from December 2 to December 9 due to demonetisation, producer Allu Aravind has said.

"We had planned to release the film on December 2 initially. But due to demonetisation, we were doubtful if audiences will watch the film. And after some research and deliberations, we decided December 9 will be the ideal date," Aravind said in a statement.

There is no other reason for the postponed release, said Aravind.

Directed by Surender Reddy, the film also stars Rakul Preet Singh and Arvind Swami.

The film is the official remake of Tamil blockbuster "Thani Oruvan", and it is produced by Geetha Arts.
