Mangaluru, Nov 28: On a day declared by the Congress as 'Aakrosh Diwas' to protest against demonetisation, the district unit of BJP Yuva Morcha celebrated the central government's move aimed at curbing black money by bursting crackers and distributing sweets to the people at State Bank here.

President of district BJP unit Sanjeeva Matandoor launched the celebration by handing over a red rose to the branch manager of State Bank as a token of gratitude for cooperating with the government. The gathered also handed over roses to other bank officials and also to the security guard of the bank.

Addressing reporters, Matandoor said that all the bank personnel have managed the crowds efficiently and helped the government in implementing demonetisation and hence the BJP was thanking them.

Former MLC Monappa Bhandary said that the Congress and other political parties are opposing people's opinion by holding the Aakrosh Diwas. "People have been patiently supporting demonetisation by depositing their notes at the bank. They have understood the importance of this decision but the the political parties just want to oppose the government." he said.

The gathered also raised slogans against the Aakrosh Diwas and black money hoarders.

Mangaluru, Nov 28: While protests were held in various parts of the city by the Congress and the Left parties against demonetisation, the city unit of Hindu Jagarana Vedike (HJV), showing strong support to the Modi-led NDA government, celebrated 'Vijayotsava' or victory at Pumpwell here on Monday November 28.

The activists celebrated by bursting crackers and distributing sweets to the public.

Speaking to reporters, Subhash Padil, the city unit secretary of the Vedike said, "Our Prime Minister wants to make India a 'Vishwa Guru' (world leader). We are happy about the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes. We congratulate the PM on that and extend our solidarity with the decision. I urge every citizen of the country to support him in this regard so that he can do great things for the country."

Lamenting that protests were being held against the move, he said, "We are sad that a few people are holding bandh and protests against this decision. But as citizens of this country we must support our Prime Minister."

BJP Yuva Morch is also expected to hold a 'Vijayotsava' later in the afternoon.

If that is the case, why this plan was revealed and known and that too well in advance only for BJP leaders? They have would have taken confidence of other political parties too... Don't you think corruption has shown its ugly face here...

With the exception of bank staff i bet half of the crowd celebrating will not know the meaning of the word demonetization.

Anyway I support demonetization. It is a slap on the face of the black money demons, and as for the Aakrosh Divas, another big slap.

After the DEMON-IZATION by the Congress rule in the last 70 years, the DEMONET-IZATION by BJP rule is a good move.

    DEMONIZATION Vs DEMONETIZATION. Simply Wow!!

    Jai Ho.. Honourable PM

Today demonitisation is supported all over. Well and good. But if this move was initiated by any other political party, is it been supported???? The same people who r on the streets celebrating vijayotsav wud be pelting stones at vehicles and celebrating bandh. Every common man is suffering today, and their conscience knows it. But just for the party they r pretending as if nothing happened. If these people are so much concerned about the country, let them stand in the queue for the elderly people who wait in front of ATM's in the burning sun. And after waiting for almost 1 hour or so, they get the message "no cash". Just stand next to these people and listen to her curse at that time.

You can stand in queue for Movie tickets,
you can stand in queue at Railway counters,
you can stand in queue in ration shops
You can stand in queue for Commercial programes

You can stand in queue at prayer places

But you can't stand in queue just to support against corruption.

    Shirish, Muscat,

I buy my movie, Railway, Bus & Air tickets on Line. I go well in time to attend the Church prayers so that I need not stand on Q. But before coming to Australia last week, me being a senior citizen
really faced problem in standing in Q to get my own money from the banks, to pay for my house maid, to settle Doctors bills,& to pay for fruit & vegetable sellers, to get Australian Dollars from Exchange houses!. U need to go to India to stand on Q for bank Counters than only U will feel the pain. Yesterday my relatives left Australia. They could not get Indian Currency at the Bangalore Airport exchange counters to pay for the Taxi Driver.

Im very much happy about demonitisation.. I say well done Prime Minister .. WELL DONE rbi on taking this step.. But the saddest thing is did you'll really do backup to cover the upcoming issues? The ATM runs out of cash.. Bankers says we don't have cash ..this is the straight question to RBI and our HHonoura prime minister Why there is less flow of 100,50,20,10 denominations why bank always says no cash?Who will give me the change for new 2k from where will the shopkeeper give change if you need a 10rs water bottle for 2000note when emergency ..think about petty vendors .do youll want him to stand in que ?i have seen them worry when they only dont have sufficient money to give us change.. The next question is we youth know paytym, neft, imps etc etc what about the people uneducated? Do they know these things? I always use card.. If payment i transfer or swipe card .. I think about commoners .. I think about people who live in bijapur ,rural regions i feel sad about them .. I really felt sad when one far away rural(bidar) lady said me she didn't knew that 1000 and 500 notes dont circulate . Later i said she can exchange in bank. She was greatful to me.I conclude by saying that i do support demonitisation concept.. But i give thumbs down for no proper measures been taken to overcome the issues which has arised now. THANK YOU. JAI HIND

Support demonetization, we, you and our families will get to live in a safer country because people with black money who are the source all crimes are less richer and the terror groups are pauper with no cash to fund terror attacks.

    1. According to an assessment released last week by Deloitte, an international consulting firm, demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes will hurt agriculture, informal sector workers—about 482 million people (48 crores) who earn cash incomes—and disrupt India’s consumption patterns for at least the next quarter.

Demonetization would have been a real MASTER STROKE had it been planned well,
1.With supply of lessor denomination notes and ATM's.
    2. Exchange of Notes with spot account opening and supply of ATM with the help of PAN or Voter ID, Driving License or Aadhar or land title records.
    3. Additional ATM Machines in Post offices, Railway booking counters, Hospitals and All Govt Offices

Wa jana marayre, I dont know how manglore police controlled the crowd..This what bhakth commented for congress protest at managlore on DW. There is no doubt that demonetization has bad impact on common man, despite these bhakth also facing problem they try to show that they are doing service to the country by means of comparison with the sacrifices of our jawans at border.

That means if Karnatka government decide to do the powercut from tomorrow to stop illegal power connections we should not protest or otherwise who ever protest shall be called as deshdrohi. common guys accept that failure and I bet after 50 days alos its not going to ease. For congress or BJP or any other political parties they and their leaders has no impact and they will manage their black money with their political influence as they know each other and they know if other comes in power next time they may need tier help so they will help each other and the corrupt bureaucrats still accepting bribes in crores and they are not bothered. I wish our honorable PM should have cut all the main routes (politics and bureaucrats) before cutting the branches.

What kind of Home Work can be done in this case?

For example, if the ATMs are calibrated for Rs. 2000/- notes, the calibrating guy would have leaked the info to Media and media would have speculated many other things and finally plan would have POPAT...

Maintaining secrecy is the HOME WORK. And that is what is done. Indians are known for their hard work. Waiting in the queue should not deter them for a good cause.
