Mangaluru: Three held for trying to smuggle ganja inside prison

Mangaluru, Nov 30: Three persons, who have been accused of trying to deliver ganja to an under-trial prisoner of the district prison here, were taken into custody by security staff. They were later handed over to the police personnel of Barke station.

The arrested accused are Stevan (20), Prashant (29) and Suraj (24), all from Kuthar Padavu here. They have been accused of trying to deliver ganja to an inmate of the prison named Prajval, who happens to be an accused in a murder case registered in Ullal police station, and remanded to judicial custody.

Barke police have registered a case against the three and begun investigation.

    Need to find sources from where they getting items. Very poor laws regarding drugs in our country. U need to tight nose of this Ganja Mafia. Separate department required to handle this cases.
