Mangaluru: Speeding car turns falls off road - Miraculous escape for driver

Mangaluru, Nov 30: It was miraculous escape for the driver as the Maruti Swift car he was driving landed into a private property near Kuntikan KSRTC depot on early hours of Wednesday, November 30.

The identity of the driver and his whereabouts are yet to be known. A major disaster was averted as the car landed into the barren area instead of hitting the high tension pole nearby.

The locals allege that the vehicles come speeding from the highway towards the junction and it is the fifth accident within a span of one week. They have also demanded traffic police to install speed breaker or barricades to control the speeding vehicles.

Mangaluru traffic west police visited the spot.

    Here is case of bad road junction where already five accidents have taken place. It is time that the department of traffic install speed breakers without any delay.

    Administration will install speed breaker only if there is any death. For over toppled they won't. That is why more accidents.

    Last week a Kerala registered vehicle had toppled at the same spot... need to install speed breakers..that is the urgent need of the hour

    Correct, i was on the spot when that Kerala vehicle met with the incident. It was a Skoda.
