Mysuru: Child loses life after falling into sambar cauldron

Mysuru,  Nov 30: A three-year-old boy, who had suffered severe burn injuries and was admitted to K R Hospital in the city succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, November 29. He had sustained these injuries after falling into a cauldron of hot sambar.

The boy, identified as Krishna, was the son of Govindachar and Kavita couple. He was playing at C B Food Court in Vijayanagara here where his mother works, on November 26 when he accidentally fell into  hot sambar and suffered from burn injuries. He was admitted into the government K R Hospital thereafter.

A number of relatives and others placed the body of the boy in front of the said hotel as a measure of protest and demanded payment of adequate compensation. After the hotel owners had promised to disburse compensation sometime later, the protest was withdrawn, and funeral was held.
