Sharjah - Jan 17:AN INDIAN teacher with a Dubai school committed suicide in her accommodation in Sharjah on Wednesday evening.

The deceased is 25-year-old Mary, a primary teacher with Our Own Indian School. Police said the unmarried woman was found hanging from the ceiling fan in the store room of the flat provided by the school.

According to the police, six teachers with the school live in the flat and Mary shared her room with two others.

"Her roommates had gone out in the evening when the incident took place. They said she was sleeping at that time. When they returned, they noticed a letter on the table in their room. She had written in red ink that nobody was responsible for her death. When they searched the flat, they found the store room locked from inside," the police said.

On being informed, the Anjad patrol team, which reached the building in Jamal Abdul Nasser Street, broke open the store room door. "We found her mobile phone, but the SIM card was missing," the police said. Buheira Corniche Police is investigating the case.
