Bengaluru, Dec 5 : "We have access to documentary evidences relating to siphoning off public money by those close to the chief minister (CM) and other ministers. Soon more scandals will come out into the open," said BJP state president and former chief minister of Karnataka, B S Yeddyurappa.

"During the raid by income tax department officials recently, it was found that two persons close to CM, Siddaramaiah, and PWD minister, Dr H C Mahadevappa, had swindled off public funds running into crore of rupees. With this, the facades the CM and the minister named above were wearing have fallen off," he said, addressing a press conference here on Sunday December 4.

Yeddyurappa said that there are more people involved with scandals, who are identified in the close circles of the CM and other ministers. "We are getting papers relating these scandals. You can expect more scandals to tumble out of their cupboards soon," he added. He said that the above raid has laid bare the fact that the CM and other ministers are providing protection to currupt people. "Therefore, I demand resignation from the CM, Siddaramaiah, immediately. The scandal that has now come out will be raked up in the parliament too," he said.

BJP in-charge of Karnataka affairs, Muralidhar Rao, analyzed that the Congress is dependent on its Karnataka unit for pooling of funds meant for fighting election in Uttar Pradesh. He felt that the state government here, therefore, is engaged in robbing of government money. "We will begin our war against corruption from Karnataka," he added.
