Sharjah, Dec 5: Ace Strikers won the volleyball tournament while Bunts Dubai clinched both men's and women's throwball tournaments at United Cup - 2016 organized by Events 306 and sponsored by Acme Building Materials LLC, Dubai on Friday, December 2. New Mark - B team won the kabaddi tournament and Coastal Friends won the mixed throwball event.
Several strong teams competed in the tournament that was held at Skyline University College campus here on Friday.
Acme Building Materials LLC managing director and renowned singer Harish Sherigar, Fortune Group of Hotels managing director Praveen Shetty, Gerald Lobo, Sebastian Pais, and Flavia Joseph Mathias inaugurated the tournaments by releasing doves.
The dignitaries including Premnath Shetty, Gerald Lobo and Joseph Mathias presented the trophies during the valedictory function here on Friday evening. The organizer of the tournament Vinod Shetty was commended for his meticulous planning.
Ace Strikers defeated Reckon Strikers to bag men's volleyball tournament. Bunts Dubai triumphed against Coastal Friends in the men's throwball tournament, while the ladies wing of Bunts Dubai defeated Mangalore Konkans to win women's throwball title. Coastal Friends defeated Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha to win mixed throwball tournament. New Mark - B scored over New Mark - A to win the kabaddi tournament.

Razi of Ace Strikers was adjudged best attacker, Sajan Alva of Ace Strikers won the title of best setter and Sunil Chekke of Reckon Strikers bagged the best all-rounder title.
Alan of Coastal Friends was adjudged the best attacker in men's throwball tournament, Dhinraj Shetty of Bunts Dubai was named best defender and Kiran Shetty of Bunts Dubai the best all-rounder.
Reshma of Mangalore Konkans was adjudged best attacker in women's throwball, Satish Suvarna of Bunts Dubai adjudged best defender and Akshata Shetty of Bunts Dubai won the best all-rounder title.
Lionel of Coastal Friends was declared best attacker in the mixed throwball tournament, Flavia of Coastal Friends was adjudged best defender and Sumangala of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha the best all-rounder.
Sangeeta Shetty of Bunts Dubai was adjudged the best defender, while Akshata Shetty of Bunts Dubai and Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha were adjudged best defender and best all-rounder respectively.
Razi bagged the all-rounder title in the kabaddi tournament.
