Mangaluru, Dec 7: Former state minister and mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy visited Kateel Durgaparameshwari temple on Tuesday December 6 and offered Chandika Havana puja there.

Reddy had arrived in a car unnoticed at Kateel on Monday December 5 and hired a room in Hotel Soundarya Palace. There was no advance information of his visit to anyone in Kateel.

No one was able to meet him since his arrival. It is said that the room was booked in the name of Suryanarayana Sharma Bellary. Even police personnel and political leaders from the district had no clue about his visit to Kateel.

In a brief interaction with media, Reddy said that his family visits Kateel every year and this year, he wanted to visit with his wife. He refused to comment on politics.

Reddy had hit national headlines recently for holding marriage of his daughter on a lavish scale at Bengaluru.

Whatever Reddy might have done, the secret visit to temple should be admired. Reddy visited the temple secretly. In this case thumps up to Reddy.
