Watch: Cop suspended for slapping an ex-army man in Bagalkot

Dec 9 (Agencies): A police constable of Amingad police station was suspended on the charge of assaulting an ex-service man in Bagalkot on Thursday.

Devaraj Goudar was suspended by Additional SP Lakshmi Prasad following a complaint by exserviceman Nandappa Bhadrashetty. Bhadrashetty had a verbal duel with the police constable who was deployed on duty at Syndicate Bank for controlling the queue.

The highly disturbing footage shows the cop beat and violently shove Bhadrashetty. He dragged Bhadrashetty outside the bank and kept assaulting him.

The action has come after a video footage of the constable beating up Nandappa Bhadrashetty went viral on twitter.

This is high handedness. The policemen should know their limitations. They are not authorized to manhandle any one.Hope the situation is seriously viewed by the higher authorities and due punishment meted to the erring cop.

Watching that video is very disturbing. These people whether police or staff of public sector banks are not used to working like this in the past and used to just pass time like any other Govt departments. Now suddenly working like private sector employees. Police are required to control the people in ques and bank from morning to late evening. I heard even bank staff saying ask Mr. Modi on asking any question. So this is how they vent their frustration on ordinary poor people in ques. But violence like this is not at all justified. Should be dealt with properly.

Bad Karma of rich in India suffered by poor of India due to wrong policies of central government.

Where are those Modi Bhakata who asked the nation to patience like soldiers patrolling the border.

Now ex-servicemen who already served for nation who came to collect his pension is being treated as anti-national?

Out of 50 days of promise from PM Modi normalisation post demonetisation now 30 days has gone.Still farmers to soldier are struggling to withdraw their own hard earned money.
