Bengaluru: Frustrated at corruption, Kagodu Thimmappa to quit electoral politics

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Dec 13: State revenue minister, Kagodu Thimmappa, disclosed that he has decided not to enter electoral fray again in his life. He explained that he has taken this decision, having been frustrated at the level of corruption and rotten political system.

"I am overtaken by a sense of disgust at the current state of affairs and systems. Therefore, there is no question of entering electoral politics again. I am also overwhelmed by a feeling that it would be better to die rather than grapple with the corrupt system," he explained. Thimmappa added that he and fellow politicians had risen to power with the promise and hope of giving good governance but lamented that in spite of best efforts, this was not possible. "We are trying to cleanse the administration system, but have been unable to achieve full success," he lamented.

Thimmappa expressed grave concern about the corruption indulged in by officials and the amount of money being recovered from their homes. At the same time, he expressed satisfaction that corrupt officials are being brought to book. He however was not too hopeful about the efforts to bring change in the system becoming a success in near future, as successive governments have to deal with the same set of officials who resist such change.

The main reasons for this is our Dongis attitude of " Corruption is OK not Communalism".

Both Corruption & Communalism is NOT OK.
