Puttur: Two feared drowned after boat capsizes in Kumaradhara river

Puttur, Dec 15: Two persons have been feared drowned after their basket boat capsized in the Kumaradhara river near Gujjarme in Kadaba here on Thursday December 15.

Ganesh (60), a resident of Chokkadi and Aana Kunhinna Gowda (70) of Ramakunja went missing after their boat capsized.

Narayana alias Nona, a resident of Gujjarme, who was navigating the boat, swam to safety.

A rescue team along with fire service personnel and police launched a search operation for the missing persons. A team of expert swimmers also rushed at the spot.

    Why there is no bridge? As per chief minister there is lot of money for local development is not used. why can't that money to be use to build the bridge...
