Chennai, Dec 18 (IANS): Tamil actor Simbu, quite popular for his singing talent, will make his debut as a music composer for actor Santhanam's upcoming Tamil romantic-comedy "Sakka Podu Podu Raja".
Sharing the news on his Twitter page on Sunday, Santhanam wrote: "It's my godfather and wonderful human Simbu, who is going to compose music for first time for 'Sakka Podu Podu Raja'."
He said he feels "blessed" and "grateful" to have Simbu compose music for his film.
An equally excited Simbu tweeted: "First time as music director because it is Santhanam. New journey begins."
Having worked together in several films, it was Simbu who launched Santhanam in his 2004 Tamil romantic-thriller "Manmadhan".
Being bankrolled by actor V.T.V. Ganesh, a close confidante of Simbu, the film also stars Vivekh, Vaibhavi Shandilya and Sanjana Singh.
