Dec 21: In order to instill the spirit and story of Christmas in young minds and to promote their talents this Christmas season, Kuwait Brahmavar Welfare Association (KBWA) organized a Christmas celebration party and conducted a Bible quiz and fancy dress competition for the children of the association on Friday December 16 at Salmiya.

The programme commenced at 1.00 pm with the invocation of God’s blessings and the theme song of the association. President of the association Gretta D’Souza extended a warm welcome to all the members and guests present.

KBWA members and children from Salmiya and Farwaniya exhibited their talents by melodious carol singing.

A fancy dress competition for children on the theme of Christmas and Bible characters was conducted for junior and senior children.

A Bible quiz on the Gospel of St Mathew was conducted for the children of the association too. Children participated in the quiz competition with much enthusiasm and showcased their knowledge of the Bible by answering the range of questions with ease and confidence.

Santa Claus entertained the children and presented them with surprise gifts. Children were given additional Christmas goodies thanks to the generous donors.

The children and members of the association entertained the audience with a variety of programmes like dances, songs etc which were well appreciated.

Election for the new office bearers was conducted and the following new committee was selected unanimously.

Area representatives were also nominated to co-ordinate in their respective wards.

A sumptuous lunch with a variety of items prepared by the members of the association was served. The celebration concluded with the vote of thanks.
