Fujairah: CCF celebrates annual Christmas get-together

Fujairah, Dec 21: The annual Christmas get-together of Canara Catholics Fujairah (CCF) was held on Friday December 16 at the City Tower, here in the Galaxy Ballroom.  Antony D’Silva, an active member of CCF was master of ceremony. He welcomed the guests and explained the meaning of Christmas. All the attendees enjoyed the fascinating Christmas games conducted by Pramila Barboza with the assistance of Ovinna and Gretta.

The programme began with a meaningful prayer dance from Zeeta D’Souza and her two daughers Andrea and Giana.

Melodious Christmas carols in Konkani and English led by Vincent Barboza and his team mesmerized the crowd.

The first lady president of CCF, Gretta Dias welcomed the gathering. Fr Sagayaraj, parish priest of Fujairah Church graced the occasion with a Christmas message. He emphasized on caring and sharing love during this wonderful season of Christmas.

Highlights of the occasion were as follows:
A group of 15 small children trained by Wilson D’Souza sang the Konkani song ''Aasha'', Avrel and her team of 6 teenagers performed a Bollywood fusion dance, Lancy Dantis with his group presented gumta songs, Zeeta, Savita and Reshma danced to a Konkani number, Wilson and his daughter sung a Konkani song and a surprise solo was sung by Aenson Mathias in English.

The arrival of Santa Claus added a true Christmas spirit to the event as a large number of eagerly a waiting children welcomed him with a deafening cheer. The exuberant Santa distributed lots of chocolates and goodies to the children.

DJ Pramod Rebello kept everyone on their toes and were a great entertainment throughout the party. The party concluded with delicious lunch from City Tower Restaurant.

As usual Canara Catholics Fujairah (CCF) under the leadership of Gretta Dias put in tremendous efforts behind the show and all the members worked as a team professionally to make this a great success.
