Bahrain: Karnataka Social Club hosts Count down to Christmas Day

Media Release

Bahrain, Dec 21: Karnataka Social Club in the city held its Christmas tree/Christmas dance celebration at the Baan Saeng Thai auditorium. The event began with the carolers of the club enchanting the audience with their melodious voices.

Musical accompaniment was provided by Sydney Correa on the guitar and Orville Sequeira on the keyboard.

The entry of the much-awaited Santas drew the tiny tots into a frenzy as they picked the chocolates that were generously sprayed all over the floor. The Santas took turns in distributing Christmas gifts to all the young ones. The live band Expats then belted out their favourite old classics to the delight of an appreciative audience.

A prize distribution ceremony for the winners of the annual competitions followed the dance session.

A birthday bash was held for children who celebrated their birthdays in the last quarter of the year. Children who had registered earlier were awarded with an additional gift from the club. The band then took over the stage playing favourite line-dancing tracks as well as their favourite baila tunes.

The event concluded in the wee hours of the morning but not before the members were treated to a sumptuous buffet spread.
