Mangaluru, Dec 31: “Infant Jesus Shrine will celebrate its annual feast on January 14,” informed Fr Joe Tauro OCD, the superior of the shrine.

Addressing the media persons at Infant Jesus Shrine premises in Bikarnakatta on Saturday December 31, Fr Joe Tauro said that the celebrations will begin with the Novena starting from January 5 and will be held for 9 days. “Prior to the novena, a procession of the offerings for the feast has been organized from the Kulshekar Church premises at 5:30 pm on January 4.”

“The bishop of Bellary Dr Henry D'souza will be the main celebrant of the Feast Mass to be held on January 14 at 6:00 pm. On January 15, the Feast Mass will be offered by Bishop of Shivamogga Dr Francis Serrao at 10: 30 am. I invite all for the feast and share the joy as this place belongs to people of all religion”, he added.

Meals will be served in the shrine to all on the days of novena and the feast. There will be several masses on the feast day from morning to evening.

The director of the shrine Fr Elias D’Souza, assistant director Fr Prakash, Elias Fernandes from Four Winds, committee member Stanley Bantwal were present.
