Mangaluru, Jan 3: With the dawn of a new year, AK group and Apple Plywood in association with Architects Guild, present Delhi Furniture Interior Design Awards 2016. The first of its kind in the city, the award brings good tidings to architects, interior designers and design teams, giving them a platform to display their creative genius as they gear up for the awards in the new year. The competition is open to students and practising professionals from Mangaluru and Udupi.

A quest for creative ingenuity that transcends language barriers and speaks to everyone, the award is a springboard to new career opportunities. Far beyond the practical purpose of the building, the award seeks a truly creative design that remains over generations, inspiring people and enriching lives. The lookout is for exemplary talent.

The guidelines for participation in the awards are as follows:

• Entries for the awards can be submitted either online/ hardcopy
• Entries will be valid strictly on adherence to the rules and regulations
• Interior Design Awards are open to two distinct categories - Students and practising professionals
• No entry will be considered after January 14, 2017
• Entries by students are eligible for the 'Innovative Interior Design' Award
• Entries by professionals are eligible for two distinct Awards - One, the Interior Design Award for the 'Residential' project comprising villas or flats, and second, the 'Commercial' project.

Eligibility for Students

Students pursuing bachelor's degree in Interior Design or BArch or BArch (ID) are eligible to apply

A group is allowed to participate and must comprise only two students

Requirements:

Interior Design of a 2BHK residence villa or apartment must include a foyer, living room, dining room, kitchen and bedrooms.

All submission must be on an A2 sized sheet and can be either a portrait or landscape format.

Number of sheets are restricted to 2 per entry

Criteria:

Entries will be evaluated based on the introduction, concept and justification, plan of residence, innovative features in design or materials, and views through 3D views, photographs, models or sketches.

For live project - provide 3D Images and 2D drawings of the plans, sections or sectional elevations. Provide Digital photos on CD along with hard copies, to display during the programme.

For live project views - provide photographs, models or sketches. Provide Videos (if available) on CD on MPEG files preferably. Avoid DVD format and housewarming videos.

Professionals

Criteria:

Entries by professionals will be judged based on the concept and implementation of the project.

For a valid Interior Design Awards entry, kindly submit digital photos on CD along with hard copies, to display during the programme. And, videos (if available) on CD on MPEG files preferably. Strictly avoid DVD format and housewarming videos.
