Bengaluru: C M Ibrahim in dock, accused of aborting daughter's foetus

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Jan 4: C M Ibrahim, vice-chairman of the State Planning Board and close confidante of chief minister Siddaramaiah, is in the dock after he was accused of being responsible for the abortion of his daughter's foetus.

The accusation has come from none other than his own brother C M Khader.

As per the details of the case, Ibrahim’s daughter Ifa was in love with C M Faizal, son of Khader. Ibrahim did not approve the marriage. But Ifa married Faizal amid objection seven months back.

When Ifa came to her father’s house recently, she was four-and-a-half months pregnant. As per Khader, Ibrahim and his wife gave juice mixed with a tablet meant to abort the foetus to Ifa. She later developed stomach ache and subsequently went through abortion at a private hospital.

"Ibrahim forcibly initiated the abortion as he was against the marriage. We are planning to file a police complaint against him under appropriate law of foeticide," Khader said speaking to reporters on Tuesday January 3.

In the first place it should be prooved whether this is true,or she had a normal proceedure of abortion. What own brother is accusing own brother is horrible.I dont think that father would go the extent of abort his daughters pregnency. It is a crime. He should proove it .At this period of pregnency ,can happen abortion takes place. But please dont bring it in public your home affairs in a accusing way.what and who will be benefitted with it?He should shame for it ,first accussing one crime ,second his brother.

It is not fair to accuse a person without investigations. Time will prove whether Ibrahim was guilty or not.

Very sad. Killing a Fetus is a worse crime than killing a normal person. A fetus cannot respond any violence as its inside mother's womb. It's sad that a leader like Sri Ibrahim resorted to this. He should be a role model for others. He must immediately resign.
